Winter Party!

Our Crew had a great time celebrating together at our Winter Party! The students had a blast decorating cookies, creating "snowman shooters", designing snowflakes, and playing games. The students were raving about the party all day long! Thank you to Lindsey, Bridget, and Dianna for planning a wonderful party for our crew! Celebration of Learning

Thank you to everyone that joined us at our Celebration of Learning last Thursday! The students were so excited to share their learning with you. Fox Creek's bookkeeper, Joy Gottschall, captured a few photos of our class performing the "Beaver Rap." The students did a beautiful job of performing and presenting their knowledge. Hopefully after this week, our book will be ready to send off to publishing! I will keep you posted when our beaver book will be available for purchase!

Publishing a book is hard work!

In second grade we have been embracing our role as a published author. We had an author of a variety of children's books, Arlen Cohn, visit our crew to share his expertise in the publishing process. The students have been working hard illustrating many drafts, receiving critique, and designing the page they will contribute to our book. We cannot wait to share with you our journey throughout our expedition at our Celebration of Learning next Thursday at 6pm. The students are beaming with pride!
