Hello, my second-grade families! Welcome to OUR crew!
My name is Ms. Brittany. This is my seventh year teaching second grade at Fox Creek and I can't wait to spend it with you! Second graders are my FAVORITE! I love their independence, critical thinking skills, kind hearts, and passion for learning. We have a big year ahead of us as we embrace curiosity, consider and listen to other's perspectives, think deeply, learn from our mistakes, and spread joy by being our authentic selves.
I grew up in the Douglas County School District which influenced my decision to become an educator. I completed my undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and studied Human Development & Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. In December 2019, I graduated with my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading and Writing through the University of Colorado-Denver. I am a lifelong learner and I hope to instill this love of learning in my students, too!
If I am not in the classroom, you can find me reading, baking, crafting, spending time with my friends and family, and attending various fitness classes! I am certified in children's yoga so you may learn some poses this year! :) My fiance' Adam and I also recently bought a house so much of my free time is committed to house projects and planning for our wedding this September!
