Spelling

This week, our second graders began participating in a spelling program called “Words Their Way.” This first week, students are becoming familiar with routines and are all practicing the same words. It is recommended your child practice their spelling words ten minutes at home each night. We have learned many engaging activities we can do at home to help us learn spelling words. Two of our favorites so far have been: “See it, Say it, Spell it” and “Rainbow Spelling". More activities can be found on the front of your child's Spelling Folder. This Friday, we will have our first spelling test. Next week, the students will receive specific spelling words that fit their needs.
