Poets and Researchers Hard at Work!

Our poets have been working diligently to create a poem about the wetland or grassland animal they have been researching throughout our expedition. Creating this poem has taken weeks of perseverance! First, our crew discovered the different characteristics of poetry. Next, we researched organisms' physical features, diet, and behavior with the assistance of our YO Buddies. Finally, we have been analyzing the work of other second graders who have written about snakes to inspire us to create our own poems. We are receiving helpful critique from our crewmates in order to improve our multiple drafts. We are excited to share our hard work with you at our Celebration of Learning Tuesday, December 10th at 6pm!
